Munich Re (A M Best A+) is reorganizing its U.S. Excess and Surplus Lines underwriting operations and transferring its underwriting from American Western Home Insurance Company (A M Best A+) to Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) PLC (A M Best A+). Both American Western and Great Lakes are owned by Munich Re. Effective September 1st, 2011, McClelland and Hine will be renewing all American Western Home policies with Great Lakes.
